Alas, every game has to have rules. Luckily, this game is basically just rolling dice and guessing the rolls…but fast…and cheeky…

Check out the official rule book or see the “web-friendly” simply text summary below.

(and if you don’t like these rules, make up your own and have fun!)

GENERAL RULES

A player rolls one die from their player mat.

The next player clockwise WITH DICE ON THEIR MAT must try to guess the number rolled before the roll is complete.

All dice on mats must always be visible so that it is clear who should be guessing.

No hiding dice or holding them before rolling…however, cheeky bluffs and distractions are encouraged.

If the guesser is…

CORRECT: they gain that die to their mat.

INCORRECT: the roller keeps the die

DOESN’T GUESS IN TIME: they lose one die from their mat to The Rubble.

Then the new roller (next player to the left of the previous roller) rolls one die from their mat…. the new guesser (next player clockwise WITH DICE) tries to guess…and so on.

(Hint: play fast, it’s more fun)

Rolling and guessing continues around the table until only one player has dice.

(If a roller rolls the die off of the table, they lose that die to The Rubble).

If a roller has no dice to roll, they must pay a PILLAR to gain any one die from The Rubble and roll it. (If there are no dice in The Rubble they must still lay a pillar and pass).

Also, once per round a roller may pay their SKULL to gain their color die back to their mat. (They may do this even if they have dice. Pillars and Skull cannot be paid on the same turn).

If a roller has no dice, pillars, nor skull they are RUINED!…they flip their mat over (preferably in an exaggerated huff) and are out of that round.

SPECIAL RULES

Every round there is a RUBBLE NUMBER. (For the first round it is “ONE”).

If the Rubble Number is rolled, that die is immediately lost to The Rubble.

If any player says the Rubble Number out loud during the round, they get THE DROP!

(Place THE DROP! token in front of that player until someone else gets it).

A roller with THE DROP! must, instead of rolling, drop the die landing it on or touching their mat as their roll.

(Use long side of box as a rough distance to drop from).

If THE DROP! is successful, play proceeds as if it were a normal roll and guess. If not, that die is immediately lost to The Rubble and play continues as normal.

(Players may adjust any dice on their mat before dropping. If a player with THE DROP! rolls instead of dropping and is called out by another player, they lose that die to The Rubble…if not called out, nothing happens).

And finally, The Rubble Die acts like any other die in the game for rolling and guessing (numbers only), BUT if a pillar or skull icon is rolled, the roller loses the corresponding piece to The Rubble and keeps the die. If The Rubble icon is rolled, they lose that die to The Rubble.

Again, rounds should move fast around the table so guessers are caught off guard.

The last player with dice on their mat gets a WIN! Token.

Setup for the next round with all players back in the game. The winner of the last round announces a new Rubble Number and rolls first.

The first player to 3 WIN! Tokens wins the game!
